MAXIE PALMER

Maxie is a subject matter expert in the STEM fields (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math). He has spent over seven years mentoring and teaching elementary and high school students in partnership with Georgia Tech and AmeriCorps. Maxie has a deep interest in the field of Design, which has enabled him to create new processes in emerging technologies such as robotics and 3-D printing. Maxie has been a robotics instructor in the DREAMS Summer Institute, a three-week academic enrichment and leadership program for rising 10th through 12th graders at the College of Education at Georgia State University. He was also a math TA (teaching assistant) at Martin Luther King Jr. High School.  

Interests: Jazz saxophone, football, basketball, African dance, programming, and graphic design
